Abused drugs through 5 weeks of pregnancy-please help.?

hi i was abusing drugs and alcohol before i found out i was pregnant and this was also at 5weeks. im now 5months and the baby is healthy thank god! i was taking prescription drugs weed and alcohol which i am so ashamed of i was so worried just like you i was on the internet for hours searching for answers. i quit everything straight away and started taking iron and folic acid. your baby should be fine and i really dont think it will come out addicted i mean look at certain heroin addicts who have babies the majority of there kids are fine and they took drugs throughout the whole pregnancy and didnt give a crap what the baby came out like! and this is a fact as i knew of someone like that!im also 21 and was experimenting etc! i found that when i knew that a life was growing inside me that i had to grow up and stop being so selfish! best of luck with everything you seem like a really nice person x
