Marriage: Honeymoons?
Honeymoons used - when I was married in the 1970s - to be a time when a couple would go away for a holiday (after their wedding) which was a time when they could get used to the idea of living together, not having done this before. It was also an opportunity to enjoy full for the first time, the couple having remained virgins up to this point. The modern way of having and living together before marriage makes a honeymoon redundant in my opinion. Now it is more a holiday to recover from the stress of preparing for the wedding. To answer your question, a honeymoon can be any length you want it to be. Wealthy folk often seem to have honeymoons that go on for weeks.
