Is this a bad omen about a break?

me and my girlfriend were great friends and shes the first one to ask me out and say i love you. now she wants to take a break because of stress and other things. one thing that stuck in my head the last conversation was. "its not as natural as it use to be its felt more strand and stuff." she she decided to take a break to try to get that natural feeling back between us. in a text she sent she wants to repair the friendship, than the relationship. shes in school at pittsburgh 2 hours away and i heard that girls who wants a break usally means she wants to break up. is this bad? she is a trustworthy girl that we both fell in love with as soon as we saw each other. help me please.
