How to sterilize farm eggs ?

I'm going to bake brownies and need to use eggs that my farmer boyfriend brought me...There's ummmm, poo on the eggs...He says it's o.k. but I don't feel comfortable cracking the eggs open until I sterilize the shells...I was thinking of soaking them in cold salt water ?
